Provinsi Bengkulu - Bengkulu or the Province of Bengkulu is a province of Indonesia, situated on the southwest coast of the island of Sumatra. The Capital city of Provinsi Bengkulu is Bengkulu City. The Province has a total area of 19,919.33 km2 and subdivided into 1 city and 9 regencies, namely Bengkulu City, South Bengkulu Regency, Rejang Lebong Regency, North Bengkulu Regency, Kaur Regency, Seluma Regency, Mukomuko Regency, Lebong Regency, Kepahiang Regency and Central Bengkulu Regency. The Province of Bengkulu was reported as having a population of 1,813,393 in the 2010 census held by Statistics Indonesia (BPS). Since 2012, the Governor of Bengkulu is Junaidi Hamsyah, replacing Agusrin M Najamudin.
